Over 1.60 lakh birds of 5 poultry farms in Haryana’s Panchkula district are set to be culled as some poultry samples there have examined constructive for the avian flu, Agriculture minister J P Dalal mentioned on Friday.
“5 poultry samples of Siddharth Poultry Farm at Raipur Rani block in Panchkula have been discovered constructive for the H5N8 pressure of avian flu. It’s an influenza virus,” Mr Dalal mentioned whereas speaking to reporters.
Equally, the samples of some birds from Nature Poultry farm at Panchkula too examined constructive, he mentioned.
The samples have been despatched to a laboratory in Bhopal and their stories have come now, the minister added.
As per the Authorities of India tips, the poultry of farms situated inside one km of any farm fund having contaminated birds need to be culled, Mr Dalal mentioned.
Accordingly, as per estimates, round 1.66 lakh poultry birds of 5 poultry farms in Panchkula must be culled, the minister added.
The staff of those poultry farms too can be examined by the well being division, Mr Dalal additional mentioned.
They’d even be given anti-viral medicines, he additional mentioned.
